Over 10 lakhs candidates appear for tier 1 SSC CGL & number of aspirants are incresing day by day, thus increasing competition, compelling SSC to increase the level of CGL every year. Before 2012 there was no trigonometry, no geometry in tier 1 but now they are ; questions are getting bit tricky. So, I personally recommend not to go for question paper before 2012 as they would seem quite easy but now it is not so. Almost all the questions in aptitude are tricky so you need lot of practice to get familiar with the types of questions. Meeting some of the brilliant students I found this year (21 April 2013) maths as well general knowledge section was not easy as that was in 2012.
