REVIEW 2 :If u r looking for referance package of coaching institutes like chanakya. Thn i would suggest u to once go chhabri bazar . thr u wl get 2nd hand or zerox at much cheaper price.
Vajiram n Ravi use to be the best coaching for gs around 5-6 yrs back when they had their full faculty and when the GS paper use to b of 150 marks.
Currently i dont know what faculties they have for different subjects.
Ravindran Sir is pro in Polity.
Kathuria Sir in Economy.(do check with the present students whether Kathuria Sir stil takes class or not)
for these 2 subject, try to arrange notes which u can easily get from any photostat shop in Old rajender nagar.
Like i said in some answer before asked by u, self preparation is best option through ncerts books n some standard books.

I have taken coaching from vajiram and ravi. I was in the pcm october 2012 batch. Economics and polity classes were good. Ethics, geography, history were ok. I found snt classes boring. All abhilash sir's classes were good. All in all it was worth going.
This is what Gaurav Agarwal AIR-1 CSE 2013 has to say about coaching classes:
Best Institutes, IMHO:
- CSAT - Career Launcher
- GS - ALS and Sri Ram IAS
- Psychology - Mukul Pathak (Vajiram and Ravi)
- Public Administration: Mr. Manocha or Bhavani Singh (Avoid Synergy - Mr. Mohanty) and Sri Ram IAS
- Geography - Neetu Singh, ALS (Jojo Mathews, not Shashank Atom)
- History - Manikant Singh

If you come from rural or economically backward section or just want to test the waters then go for SAMKALP
It has top class faculty and very good mentors.On the flip side time administration and non availability of printed notes is a prob.
If money is not an issue and have some prior idea then go for big players

I would tell you the approach (if only Correspondence) is not sufficient. Cracking Civil Services is not like a distance course that you can read in some free time over a period of time and then appear for the exam and crack it.
This exam needs full dedication, though not full time for exceptional people. There are some people who cracked the exam doing the job, but I consider them as exceptional cases. If you are such a candidate, please go ahead.
To your question, AFAIK, there are no such courses and even if some institute starts this, veterans who are in this field would not go for this type of courses, because they are veterans and they know atleast what does not work.
There are some institutes like Narayana which is offering an integrated, not correspondence, course along with the graduation. This applies only if you are a 10+2 student now. I do not think you belongs to this group because of the mature question.
If your "correspondence" means distance education, yes there are. But these are not 3 or 4 year courses. They are only for the current year. They are called postal courses. You pay some money. They send you material over the post. There are test series available too in the same format. Again I would not recommend this approach. Postal courses are available in many institutes. If you want some big names, there are Vajiram and Ravi, Chaitanya, etc.,

Vajiram & Ravi -Best for Offline(Classroom study means lot of extra cost near by 1.5 Lakh minimum + transportation cost + if you from outside Delhi then living cost also add in it.)

1. Vajiram classroom coaching: I joined their classroom coaching in 2012 but found it to be an utter waste of my time. So left it within a couple of weeks and never went again. What they taught could be studies by self in less than half the time.
2. Baliyan’s Insight classroom coaching: This was the only classroom coaching I found good and upto standards. I also liked his approach. I joined history optional coaching there.
3. Lalwani’s Axiom for Economics: Again an utter waste of time and money. He doesn’t teach more than half the things n wotever is taught is mostly lacking needed depth. I used to go to the classes only coz I had baliyan’s class after him n coz I travelled from Gurgaon to Delhi for the classes.
4. Sriram classroom: total waste… Attended 3-4 lectures only. His printed notes are good.
5. Vajiram interview: Liked the one on one sitting with raveendran sir and their panels last year. But this year their panel was very bad with some arrogant former IFS officer at head.
6. Samkalp interview: Good panels. Took 2 mocks.
7. Chanakya interview: Very good panel. They made me realise what areas to focus on this year. Many of their questions were asked in actual interview in sone form or other.
8. Vision Ias test series: I joined test series for GS n Essay and found them very good. They conduct the test series professionally n their notes are good too. 1 ques I could answer only by studying from their notes.
9. Synergy test series: I joined only test series. It is good and feedback professional but unka staff bhaav bahut khata hai and is uncooperative with students.
10. Sri Chaitanya interviews: good panel and good mock.
11. HYDERABAD study Circle: I joined mock interview and was a very good n professional experience.
